Education and Dental Training

Dr. Bashoura grew up in San Dimas, California. He attended the University of Southern California, where he studied art history and biology.

He continued his education at the USC Herman Ostrow School of Dentistry, where he earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree.

Medical Education and Oral Surgery Residency

Dr. Bashoura earned his medical degree from the University of Missouri–Kansas City School of Medicine.

He completed his combined oral and maxillofacial surgery residency through UMKC, with training at:

• Saint Luke’s Hospital of Kansas City
• Children’s Mercy Kansas City
• University Health Truman Medical Center, formerly Truman Medical Center

His hospital-based training included pediatric and adult facial trauma surgery, dental extractions, dental implant surgery, and the administration of anesthesia.

Dr. Bashoura is certified by the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. ABOMS is the recognized certifying board for the specialty of oral and maxillofacial surgery in the United States.

He has also completed the National Board Dental Examinations and the United States Medical Licensing Examination. Dr. Bashoura maintains active certifications in:

Outside the Practice

Dr. Bashoura lives in Kansas City, Missouri, with his wife and best friend, Rita. They enjoy visiting the Kansas City Zoo and local art museums together.

His other interests include building custom gaming computers, camping, wilderness survival, and cooking at home.
